AAL Joint Programme

Starting in 2004, several member states of the European Union and other countries participating in the research and technology development framework programmes of the EU prepared a joint programme in the area of ambient assisted living (AAL). The Programme was accepted by the European Parliament on March 13, 2008. The European Commission will officially reconfirm its earlier decision in June 2008 but the first call is already to be expected on April 25, 2008. German AAL Congress - European AAL Day (Berlin, Germany, from 2008-01-30 09:00 to 2008-02-01 21:00) — by Hanák Péter

The first German AAL Congress will be held on 30 and 31 January 2008 in Berlin. On 1 February, the third day of the Congress, a European AAL Day will be held with a number of invited foreign, among others Hungarian, lecturers, and other foreign participants are expected.
